1994年、東京生まれ。2017年1月より、世界中の先鋭的なエレクトロニックミュージックを独自の視点で国内に紹介し続けるパーティー『解体新書』の共同主宰、そしてレジデントDJを務めている。Romyは『解体新書』を通じて、先進的な思考と精神に触れ、その全てを自身のDJスタイルへと還元し続けている。国内外の様々な世代間のアーティストないし数多のユニークなサウンドをひとつの空間と時間軸へと折衷させる、挑戦的なキュレーション行為では他に類を見ないのと同様に、彼ならではの複合的な世界観や時間の流動が常にセットのコンセプトを司る。伝統と革新を織り交ぜ、都市から楽園を望むように、調和と混沌が隣り合う一瞬を反復して描き続ける様は圧巻。国内外において着実に注目と支持を集めている。また、その果敢な姿勢はDJとパーティーだけに留まらず、広義的かつ先鋭的なDJツールとなり得る音楽をリリースするレーベル〈KTSNS〉を2021年6月に設立。AlbinoSoundと共同ディレクターを務めるなど、着実に活動の幅を拡げている。

Born in Tokyo in 1994, Romy Mats is a co-organizer and resident DJ of theparty “Kaitai Shinsho (解体新書),” which he co-founded in January 2017.The party continuously introduces cutting-edge electronic music fromaround the world to Japan through its unique perspective.Through “Kaitai Shinsho (解体新書),” Romy has been exposed to advancedideas and spirits, and he continues to channel all of these influences intohis own DJ style. His challenging curation, which reconciles artists fromvarious generations and countless unique sounds from both Japan andabroad into a single space and timeline, is unparalleled, drawing from awide range of influences, including: Giant Swan, Randomer, Rhyw, SimoCell, Call Super, Pangaea, Peverelist, Moritz von Oswald, Laurel Halo, LeonVynehall, Danielle, JASSS, MCMLXXXV, Nathan Micay, Yu Su, Tolouse LowTrax, Imre Kiss, S Olbricht, Bartellow, EYE (Boredoms), Haruka, DJShufflemaster, Compuma, AKIRAM EN, Mars89, and many others.Similarly, his sets are always governed by his own complex worldview andfluid sense of time. The way he repeatedly weaves together tradition andinnovation, depicting moments where harmony and chaos coexist―as iflooking out at a paradise from the city―is truly impressive. He hassteadily gained attention and support both in Japan and internationally.This ambitious spirit extends beyond his DJing and parties. In June 2021,he launched his label, KTSNS, which releases music that serves as a broadand innovative DJ tool.
