It Began In Jakarta
Suara Disko started back in 2015, when a group of friends initiated an all Indonesian music party.

With a mission to promoting Indonesian music to the subculture movement, spesifically nightlife. Later they met DJs/record collectors; Aat and Merdi, who is now known as Diskoria. Long storyshort, the movement has spread across the country.
Ever since Diskoria released their first single in 2019 titled Balada lnsan Muda, Suara Disko has become a community based record label
Prior to the formation of Suara Disko and Diskoria, Indonesian songs were veryrarelyheard in clubs or dance music events
Back then several clubs in Jakarta even forbade Indonesian songs from being played in their premises, to the extreme of threatening to ban DJs who dare to playIndonesian music in their performance
Suara Disko and Diskoria emerged as a movement protesting that stigma, becoming the antithesis of the false paradigm:
“Indonesian music are unworthyto be a partof clubbing scenes”
In a nutshell, we make fun ofthe situation. And now a lot ofpeople havingfun with it
