A South Korea-born, Tokyo-based DJ/Producer active in the queer scene in Tokyo, intoxxy’s style has been focused on showcasing bass-heavy, invigorating sounds all across the genre spectrum, while regularly releasing club-friendly remixes online. He epitomizes the queer underground spirit from his home country Korea with his profound adoration for club music, while aspiring to break boundaries as a
genre-defying selector and a community-focused organizer in Japan.
As a DJ, intoxxy has mainly played in underground events in Shibuya and Shinjuku Ni-chome and is also venturing out to international venues in Seoul, Saigon and New York as well to collaborate with the local queer scenes. Also, he has supported international artists like Mykki Blanco, Chippy Nonstop, umru, DJ G2G and more.
As a producer, intoxxy has gained attention from his remixes on Soundcloud and Bandcamp, especially with his selective k-pop remixes infusing Jersey Club and Bass, and has released music from BIAS NYC and Trekkie Trax (Tokyo).Since 2023, he has been a resident for Seoul’s VISLA FM, promoting queer talent based in Asia, and in 2024, intoxxy launched ‘FETCH’ with fellow DJs MUNÉO and MELEETIME, a queer underground party mainly focusing on expanding the queer club scene in Tokyo in collaboration with both local and international talent.
