Kasra Vは、テヘラン生まれでロンドンを拠点とするDJ／プロデューサーであり、音楽への深い情熱を糧に、クラブとラジオ双方のフィールドにおいて成功を収めてきた人物である。
イランで育った彼は、西洋音楽へのアクセスが限られており、国営のラジオ放送やブートレグのダウンロードを通じて音楽を摂取していた。17歳でロンドンへ移住すると、その探究心は一層膨らみ、多様なサウンドを貪欲に吸収していく。
2014年にはNTS Radioにてレジデンシーを獲得し、そこから自身のスキルを磨きつつ、折衷的な音楽趣味を披露してきた。これまでに200本以上の番組を放送し、Yello、Tangerine Dream、Dream 2 Scienceといった名だたるアーティストを迎えている。
DJとしても、Fabric、Panorama Bar、Circolocoといった伝説的なヴェニューに登場する一方で、ロンドンのクィアパーティAdonisやHomodrop、Lion and Lamb、Fitzroyなど、コミュニティを軸とした親密なダンスフロアにも精力的に関わってきた。
プロデューサーとしてのKasraの作品は、アンビエントな音像、オーケストラ的な広がり、エレクトロの要素、90年代レイヴの感覚、そしてダンスミュージックの歴史への敬意といった、幅広い影響を融合したものであり、それこそが彼のユニークなサウンドの特徴となっている。2021年以降は制作活動にさらに注力し、〈Radiant Records〉やSepehrの主宰する〈Shaytoon Records〉からのリリースで高い評価を得ている。
また、イランのフォークロアにインスパイアされたプロジェクトFlower StormをSepehrと共に始動し、プロデューサーとしての手腕を改めて示した。
2024年春には、自身のレーベル〈V-sion〉を立ち上げた。ここでは音楽的なキュレーションにとどまらず、過去・未来・そして常に揺れ動く「いま」の音像との対話を継続させる場として、ヴィジュアルアートにも重きを置いている。若手のビジュアルアーティストの作品を積極的に紹介し、レーベルの美学を形づくっている点も特筆に値する。
〈V-sion〉の第1弾リリースでは、NTS Radioでの10年間のレジデンシーを記念し、Kasra V & Marie Malarieをはじめ、Fantastic Man、Sepehr、Alex Kassian、Spray、Angel D’lite、Byron Yeates & Brandi、Kim Ann Foxman、500SECといった豪華な面々が名を連ねた。
〈V-sion〉の物語は2024年11月にも続き、Kasra自身のソロ作品に加え、優れたスリーヴデザインやマーチャンダイズの展開が予定されている。
2023年にはMixmagによって「ブレイクアウトDJ」に選出されるなど、Kasra Vはその多才さと柔軟性を武器に、ダンスミュージックシーンにおいて確かな存在感を放ち続けている。

Kasra V is a London-based DJ and producer born in Tehran, whose deep passion for music has propelled him to success in both club and radio settings. Growing up in Iran, he had limited access to Western music, relying on state-funded radio stations and bootleg downloads. After moving to London at the age of 17, Kasra’s hunger for new sounds grew exponentially.
Securing a residency at NTS Radio in 2014, Kasra honed his skills and showcased his eclectic taste in music. He has since broadcasted over 200 shows and hosted acclaimed artists such as Yello, Tangerine Dream, and Dream 2 Science. His DJ sets have graced legendary venues like Fabric, Panorama Bar, and Circoloco, as well as intimate community-building dance floors such as London’s sweaty queer party Adonis, Homodrop, Lion and Lamb, Fitzroy, and more.
As a producer, Kasra’s releases are a fusion of diverse influences, ranging from ambient soundscapes and orchestral swells to touches of electro and elements of 90s rave, all completed with a nod to the history of dance music.This eclectic blend defines Kasra’s unique signature style. Since 2021, he has focused more intently on his productions, resulting in acclaimed releases on labels such as Radiant Records and Sepehr’s Shaytoon Records. Additionally, Kasra launched the Iranian folklore-inspired project Flower Storm with Sepehr, further showcasing his prowess as a highly skilled producer.
In Spring 2024, Kasra launched his own imprint, V-sion. He not only curates the musical output, contributing to the ongoing dialogue between past, future, and the ever-changing fulcrum of the sonic present, but also oversees the label aesthetics to showcase up-and-coming visual artists and their work. The first release on V-sion celebrated Kasra’s 10 years as an NTS resident and featured original tracks from Kasra V & Marie Malarie, Fantastic Man, Sepehr, Alex Kassian, Spray, Angel D’lite, Byron Yeates & Brandi, Kim Ann Foxman, and 500SEC. The story of V-sion will continue this November with solo work from Kasra himself, along with killer sleeve design and a line of merch.
Named breakout DJ in 2023 by Mixmag, Kasra continues to make waves in the dance music scene, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and talented artist.
