彼はディープ・テクノとベースミュージック、トライバルが交差するサイケデリックサウンドで、聴く者を恍惚の世界へと誘う。また、アンビエントやハーフタイムビート、環境音楽を探求する実験的なアプローチも追求している。
〈CROSSPOINT〉〈TRAUM〉〈Kneaded Pain〉など国内外のレーベルをはじめ、自身が主宰するレーベル〈TOTEM TRAXX〉では通算100タイトル以上をリリースし、独自の世界観を持つ楽曲は高い評価を得ている。
アートワークやポッドキャストのキュレーション、ビジュアルディレクションも担当し、その情熱はデザイン分野にも及ぶ。
東京を拠点に、パーティシリーズMEiYOUのレジデントを務めており、ライブ録音されたミックスはRAのMix of the Dayへも選出された。
また、FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL、GLOBAL ARK、RAINBOW ASO、Re:birth、Meeting Point、Brightness、EN FESTIVALなどの国内の主要フェスやイベントのステージにも出演。
近年では、空間に合わせたサウンドデザイン、イルミネーションへの楽曲提供、他ジャンルのアーティストとのコラボレーション、アレンジなど、活動の幅は多岐にわたる。
DO SHOCK BOOZEは自らのレーベルの美学を指し示し、強度と深みの両方を表現できる奇才のサウンドアーティストである。

The musical project of Japanese DJ / Composer, Yoichi Hayashi, is DO SHOCK BOOZE.
Upon realizing that absolutely no one could read his name as the intended Japanese phonetic, “Dōshokubutsu,” he took the decisive step of committing the correct pronunciation to his official profile. Regarding his birthplace, Kumamoto, his girlfriend allegedly questioned, “Is it really necessary to share that?” He accepted the feedback and strategically rebranded himself as the more enigmatic “Japanese DJ.”
He fully intends to launch listeners into a world of ecstasy making groovy electronic music such as Techno. Beyond the dance floor, he also harbors a deep craving for the freedom to explore the experimental territories of Ambient, Halftime Beat, and Environmental Music.
He is the founder/Self label ‘TOTEM TRAXX,’ and the party series ‘MEiYOU’ resident.
Ultimately, he might just be an eccentric, brilliant sound artist capable of expressing both sheer intensity and emotional depth.
