30年近くにわたる経験を持つKrikor Kouchianは、多様な音楽的表現を自在に横断し、革新をもたらす能力を備えた、極めて多才なプロデューサーとしての地位を確立している。彼のキャリアは、創作、演奏、研究を融合させた幅広い活動に裏打ちされている。Mutek、Ars Electronica、CTMといった主要なインターナショナルベニューで演奏を行っており、その作品は形式的な厳密さと音響的な独創性において高く評価されている。電子音楽の領域を超え、音楽、視覚芸術、学術研究の交差点において、学際的なプロジェクトを展開。2021年には京都のヴィラ九条山にてアーティスト・イン・レジデンスを務め、テクノロジー、即興、そして音の知覚の関係性に関する実験をさらに深めた。2023年には、音、人工知能、パフォーマンスの相互作用に関する研究プログラムの一環として、京都芸術大学に招かれた。2025年、彼はヴィラ・クジョヤマに再び滞在し、京都を拠点とするグループ 空間現代 とのアルバム制作に焦点を当てたポスト・レジデンシーを行った後、Aix-en-Provenceと熊本の間で新たなレジデンシーを開始し、音の脱領域化という概念を探求するとともに、二つの異なる都市的・文化的環境間の対話を創出している。音楽制作に加え、Krikor Kouchianはドキュメンタリー映画のサウンドトラックを手掛け、パフォーマンス・インスタレーションの設計も行っている。

With nearly three decades of experience, Krikor Kouchian has established himself as a highlyversatile producer with an ability to navigate and innovate across multiple musical aesthetics. Hiscareer refects a wide-ranging practice that combines creation, performance and research. He hasperformed at major international venues such as Mutek, Ars Electronica and CTM, where his workhas been praised for its formal rigour and sonic inventiveness.Beyond electronic music, Krikor Kouchian develops interdisciplinary projects at the crossroads ofmusic, visual art and academic research. In 2021, he was artist-in-residence at Villa Kujoyama inKyoto, where he furthered his experiments on the relationship between technology, improvisationand sound perception.In 2023, he was welcomed at Kyoto University of the Arts as part of a research programme on theinteractions between sound, artifcial intelligence and performance.In 2025, he returned to Villa Kujoyama for a post-residency focused on creating an album with theKyoto-based group Kukangendai, before embarking on a new residency between Aix-en-Provenceand Kumamoto, exploring the notion of sound deterritorialisation and creating a dialogue betweentwo distinct urban and cultural environments.Alongside his musical creations, Krikor Kouchian composes soundtracks for documentary flmsand designs performance installations.
