2016年渡越後、ベトナム首都ハノイにて多くのレイヴ・パーティや欧米、アジアのポッドキャストへのミックス提供など、ハノイのアンダーグラウンドコミュニティの黎明期は元より、東・東南アジア全域における音楽シーンの発展と繋がりに貢献をし続けている。
彼のDJセットの特徴は、幅広い音楽ジャンルの中からそれぞれのインスピレーションを得て、音楽への深い情熱が個性的で自由なミックススタイルを生み出している。時代やジャンル、テンポを横断しながら没頭感の溢れる体験として各地で聴衆を魅了してきた。
2023年にハノイからタイのバンコクへ移住。2026年より日本へ一時帰国中。
また2019年より、香港のシークレットロケーションで開催されているインダストリアルサウンドコレクティブCipher の一員として、アジア全域で精力的に活動を継続している。

Hailing from Sendai in the land of the rising sun, KMG aka Kentaro Kumagai has a natural affinity for music, and has been an avid collector of vinyl records for decades.
Moving to Hanoi in 2016, KMG has quickly shifted his focus to dance music, especially diving into the terrain of House and Techno. KMG also takes inspiration from a wide range of sounds, textures and tempos. His selection, in return, bestows him a unique yet eccentric mixing technique.
His sets are a testament to his dedication and expertise, showcasing his ability to craft
immersive and captivating experiences for his audience. His contributions to the
underground music community in Hanoi have been instrumental in its growth and
development. In 2023 he relocated to BKK, Thailand. Now he is back in Japan for a while.
KMG is also active in the Asian region and has joined forces with the Hong Kong-based sound collective – cipher since 2019.
